Scientists from Marine and Freshwater Research Institute (MFRI) have successfully completed a habitat masurvey B8-2024. The objective of the survey was to map benthic habitats on the southern and eastern Icelandic shelf. A total of 75 underwater video transects were carried out at depths between 60 and 285m, in an area covering 22.000 km2. A variety of benthic habitats were observed, including sponge aggregations, seapen fields, and ascidian fields. The annual manual tracking float down the 35+km of the river Rönne å was beautiful as always. Also saw some of the left over effects of high spring flows. #trackingnotslacking @life_connects
