KEYS TRADERS NEED TO FIND TO BECOME PROFITABLE: Part 3 🔑🔥 Our series on how to trade with an edge continues - and today we will share more Keys on how to trade with an edge and have a significant advantage in these Markets! We've already shared 6 Keys in our previous posts, we are adding 2 more Keys today! Check below: 🔑 7) Take CALCULATED risks, not silly and unnecessary risks 👀 Trading is one of those fields which can be very rewarding, but the rewards cannot be achieved without risk. There are different types of risk. We could be risking our capital without having proper rules or a Plan in place, or we could be following our strategy and taking CALCULATED RISK. Having a trading plan, trade execution rules, stop loss & take profit targets will greatly shift the odds in our favor. 8) Always use a Stop-Loss! Never move Stop-Loss targets once the price approaches them 🚫 As we've mentioned before, in a couple of our posts, it is important for each and every trader to have a proper risk management strategy in order to ensure success. The use of Take Profit and Stop Losses are important tools that all traders should look at implementing. It's also VERY important not to move your set Stop-Loss target further, hoping that the price recovers. Long-term this can have catastrophic consequences and accounts can be lost. KEYS TRADERS NEED TO FIND TO BECOME PROFITABLE: Part 2 👀💪 We continue our discussion about common mistakes traders make, and how to Trade with an edge. In our previous post, we've provided 2 'keys' that can give traders significant edge towards profitability. Today, we will expand on that by providing some more gems! 💎 3) Avoid having 'get rich quick' mindset 🧠 We are aware that traders don't treat Prop-Firm accounts the same way they do their personal accounts, and often end up trading recklessly because of it. The key is to have the right mindset and not think like most of these traders who either pass a challenge in 1 day or blow their accounts trying... 🤔 Here is our 4th 'key': 4) Think LONG term, not SHORT term! Believe us, even if you think 'I could be winning more', winning less short term, but increasing your longevity long-term will result in more profits. 📈 5) Try to achieve CONSISTENCY, not quick profits! This 'key' compliments what we've just said above. Every professional trader will tell you that Patience & Consistency are the main ingredients to success long-term! 💯 6) Focus on ONE main strategy, and avoid mixing multiple strategies when trading on a Funded account! Getting to the Funded stage is hard work already, so once there key is to build capital CONSISTENTLY. Happy Friday everyone! Another week nearly gone. Friendly reminder to call it a week and not give back those profits if you've been Profitable this week! 🤑 TRADING GEMS BELOW for our followers 💎 And Weekly NFL Week 7 Giveaway Winner! 🎁 Cut the Trades that do not work out quickly/hit your Stop-Loss and do not hope that they will reverse and come back into Profit. 👀 By doing so, our tests show that your Losses will be significantly smaller this way over the longer-term! If this tip is not respected, by allowing the trade to drop too much in the negative it affects our Mindset negatively and could result in rushed decisions that will hurt or even breach Trader's account. NEVER move your set Stop-Loss target! 🚫 It's there for a reason: to protect you and your account. Inexperienced Traders, or ones suffering from inability to control their emotions, end up making rushed decisions to move their Stop-Loss further up/down once the Price gets close to it. This, according to the data gathered, also often results in much bigger Losses for the Traders! Once in Profit and your Trade is approaching set 'Take Profit' limit, always consider securing your profits! 💵 If a Trade is split into multiples, it's good to secure 50% of Profit once the Price approaches a set 'TP' limit, secure 25% more when it HITS 'Take Profit', and leave the rest of 25% to run! If a trade is not split, finish your trade and Take Profit once it reaches your set level and avoid the temptation to want for more! HOW DEFINED IS YOUR TRADING PLAN? 🧠👀 We've shared some valuable tips on how to create a good Trading Plan in our last post. But we got to ask the question: what makes a Trading Plan special and well defined? 🤔 In this post we will discuss these parameters in more detail 📰 So, to remind you, we highlighted 5 important points that each Trading Plan should have. They are: 1) Trading Plan must be created to suit You & your Trading Style 📈 2) Trading Plan must be followed with DISCIPLINE ( Check our post on: DISCIPLINE FOLLOWING A TRADING PLAN! ) 🔥 3) Trading Plan must have SET RULES! ⚠️ 4) Money Management must be present. 💵 5) We must have a Trading Journal & take notes! 📰 To add to these points and make our Trading Plan even more Defined, let's add a couple more Gems in there! 💎 6) Trading Pairs. While it's important to Diversify, it's also important to have one Main pair that we follow the most and have the most experience trading. Wether it's US30, or EURUSD, we must strive to master one pair before we introduce new pairs! Backtesting before that is important as well. 📈 7) Entries. What's our Rule to enter a trade? In other words, what's our Strategy? Do we enter on Pullback? or a Breakout? or for ICT fans, do we look for Inefficiencies or FVG's? ( Fair Value Gaps ). This must be defined in a good Trading Plan! 🧠 8) STOPS! We already talked about how essential it is use a Stop-Loss! So, where should our Stop-Loss be, when do we Exit a trade? As a rule of thumb it's good to stick to 0.25% to 0.50% Risk of your Account. Some traders opt for 1% risk - but we feel it's too much for most Traders and they would be more profitable reducing their Risk! ⚠️ 9) TARGET. Opposite to STOPS, we need to have a Profit Target in mind as well. Do we Take Profit when certain % of Profit is achieved, or do we close the trade in Profit when it hits our levels? It's for you to decide! 💪 10) CONDITIONS! Last but not least - we must realize that some days are much easier to Trade than others. We must learn when it's better to stay away from the Markets, and when it's best to engage. We feel some of the points deserve another topic, so we will talk about it in our next posts!
