FIDA Kaduna was ably represented at a Town Hall meeting with Women stakeholders in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Friday, 12th March, 2021. We discussed ways on Responding to Sexual and Gender Based Violence in Kauru LGA.

Fida Kaduna represented the nominal complainant Princess Michael (14years) who was severely abused by her employer- Deaconess. The Defendant after a Plea Bargain was sentenced to 10months imprisonment and a payment of 4.5 million Naira Compensation.

The Kaduna State chapter of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) has presented Malam Nasir @elrufai with the Hausa translation of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law. He assured them that KDSG supports the creation of family courts and strong action on rape
