For Duterte to be released due to collapse, it would have to be a total shutdown where no judges, no prosecutors, and no detention agreements exist. If the ICC "fully ceases to exist," it’s very likely Duterte would be released eventually because there’s no legal entity to try him or justify detention. The Netherlands would return him to the Philippines or release him. It’s similar to what happened with the Yugoslavia tribunal when it closed, remaining cases and detainees were transferred or released.🤔 #BringHimHome

Maybe the Netherlands being the host country of the ICC should make a stand on why the Dutch would not tolerate the kidnapping of a foreign national into their homeland. After so many months in detention, the Filipino people together with foreign nationals have shown the world that the accused, an elderly, imprisoned without being granted house arrest, is dearly loved and adored because he loved the Philippines even more than himself.
