@LiangRhea Assuming the leave was booked months in advance and not weeks then it shouldn’t be a problem. Most units I’ve worked in require you to plan when you want to take leave. Me going to my NUM today and asking for a week in July is probably going to get denied.

It sounds awful, not giving an employee time off for their own wedding. My unit works hard to get people to *other* people's weddings; time off for their own wedding would be a given. But am I living in a bubble of goodness?

It was great meeting with the Premier, Treasurer, Health Minister, Member for Cairns and so many others at Regional Parliament this morning. I was able to talk about the worldwide nursing shortage and the need to grow numbers close to home. Opposition called Cairns nurses “Duds.”
