@revenant_MMXX @AnAverageGamerX I lay most of the blame for that on cities and their zoning laws. Property tax is partially based on square footage. Many of these greedy cities have mandated that new homes be a minimum size so they can increase revenue.

Very stupid/dishonest to argue about price per square foot when the demand for bigger houses predates Millennial & Zoomer entry into the housing market. We weren't the ones who decided houses should be 2000sfqt, our Boomer & Gen X parents were the people buying those

@johnhawkinsrwn @revenant_MMXX Housing isn't deli meat, it isn't sold by the square foot. If a house it too expensive you can't cut it in half and buy that for half the money. Again, you are being willfully ignorant about how anything works.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, the film that made Connery call it quits, turns 23 today. This steampunk “literary Avengers” with Allan Quatermain, Captain Nemo, Dorian Gray, Dr. Jekyll, Mina Harker, and more was ahead of the curve. This transformation still looks great.
