@ntumanov_Xray Wait wasn’t it so that you can split AFIX 23 hydrogens over different PARTs without splitting their parent carbon?

A bit annoying 3-part disorder, I had to use DFIXs and SADIs for few atoms instead of normal HFIX 23. #crystallography

Another case of "benign neglect" (thanks @XtalGrrl for the term) synthesis/crystallization. Or we should check our starting material, because second group should not be attached. I left compound on glass slide for few months, because old instrument was not enough.

@DrMikeRug I once used thick vacuum grease for a crystal with low melting point that would similarly dissolve/melt upon touching glue or epoxy.

I was not expecting this configuration of hydrogens. So it is a first time when I have re-refine second time to *.final3 version of the cif. (typically less I have <1% of *final2). d(H-H) = 1.637 Å.

Okay,I asked too many people and got too many contradicting answers.Twitter crystallographers, I need an advice:what option is correct/when/when not/none?Using SIMU or RIGU on all components of disorder together or separately for first and for second?#crystallography @ECA_social

@StawskiWojtek @ECA_social SIMU is by definition meant to impose similar ADPs on two components that are spatially close but NOT bound, whereas RIGU by definition only works on bound atoms. Thus a SIMU command should include all the relevant components to be effective. 1/2
