I wish that I would have had the ability to switch between break-out rooms to learn more about what my peers have been working on and hear their final presentations, but luckily all presentations are uploaded online so I can go back after the fact! #POEcap #ENVIR492

I think the UW #POEcap went really well! The online format almost made it easier to present to my viewers and allow them to all have equal access to read my poster. Additionally, the online format took some stress off of presenting! Successful 2020 capstone #ENVIR492

@FelixReinhold2 Pollution is a major threat to healthy watersheds, this puts all of the ecosystem services that are provided to us at risk.

My capstone research with #Umvoto_Africa has helped me understand the major issues that polluted water sources can cause. These issue will need to be resoled in order to have a healthy society and a healthy environment. #envir492 #WorldOceansDay

The aim of my study was to identify disparities in how ecosystem services are articulated and use this information to increase inclusive and holistic thinking about how humans will benefit from the protection and restoration of salmon habitat. #POECAP #ENVIR492

@KristinaFoltz I have struggled with this as well. I think the main takeaway is to format your views by incorporating the work of published authors, but write the main points in your own voice. This has helped me synthesize scientific studies!

The Coast Salmon Partnership is currently still working remotely to promote communication and collaboration virtually as COVID-19 has limited their board meeting abilities. This is challenging but necessary to promote watershed restoration work! #POECAP #ENVIR492

@bela8299 I think this would be a great idea. Education is a huge factor and this focus point has been lacking as a mandatory requirement in POE classes

A thought I've been tossing around in my brain is a requirement to have Black and Indigenous guest lecturers in all POE classes. Because there is no environmentalism without environmental justice, and those topics cannot be exclusively taught by white lecturers #ENVIR492

Our program is overwhelmingly white, and even more overwhelmingly non-black. It's a fact that troubles me, and it's one of the biggest things I've learned in my time at UW. How can we advocate for equity with so many voices missing from the conversation? #ENVIR492
