UConn only up 13 at the end of the 1st quarter. I can already hear the keyboards clicking of every sportswriter with an anti-UConn agenda, writing about how UConn doesn’t have what it takes to win a national championship this year. Deep breaths everyone, it’s still UConn 😂

@firegeno @RonnieMoor83974 Not hard to get up for one game every 2 weeks early in the year, then coast for two months before the tournament while other teams get beat on weekly for those 2 months

Vandy lost to SC, SC lost to OU, OU lost to UCLA, UCLA lost to Texas, TX lost to LSU, LSU lost to Kentucky, KY lost to Maryland, MD lost to Michigan, MI lost to Iowa, IA lost to UConn, UConn lost to…nobody.
The tournament will be crazy, but I think we’ll see a familiar winner👀

@RonnieMoor83974 Maybe we take it as an attack bc UConn has no control over their conference, played a tough non-conf schedule, spent 20 weeks at number 1, went undefeated and were voted #1 overall in the tourney… but bc they didn’t play in the SEC, they don’t deserve the recognition they get.

@JoMichaelMinn7 I think Blake’s and Galvan are a lethal duo. I think our defense will ultimately be able to force a lot of mistakes, but could be bad if we aren’t hitting our normal shots and they’re playing well.

Initial thoughts on the bracket:
➡️Overall, it’s an easier path for UConn compared to 2025
➡️Of the 1-seeds, I’m happy with SC on our side of the bracket
➡️Vandy is the toughest 2-seed, so don’t love that
➡️None of it matters, put anyone in UConn’s path and they’ll win🤫

The selection committee really said, “We’re going to give UConn the overall #1 seed… But we’re also going to fill their region with nearly every team that’s beaten them in the last 3 seasons (Maryland, Ohio State, Notre Dame). Just to make their fans a little nervous.” 😅

Takeaway from the day: UConn was already the frontrunner to win the national championship (with Serah Williams struggling and not contributing much). But with the way Serah has been playing lately, I don’t see any other team being able to contend with UConn.
