Great reception today at the Sobi Sexual Assault Referral Center, Specialist Hospital Alagbado, Ilorin a vital initiative commissioned by Her Excellency, Ambassador Dr. Olufolake AbdulRazaq, First Lady of Kwara State, on Sunday, 28th May 2023.

The British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Gill Lever, commended Kwara State for its peaceful atmosphere and steady development, while also speaking on the importance of import and export investments in Lagos and Nigeria’s economic growth. She further encouraged active women participation in the 2027 election processes and campaign activities, stressing the need for inclusive leadership. Her Excellency, Olufolake AbdulRazaq, highlighted the impactful achievements of the Ajike People Support Centre, especially in healthcare and social support initiatives. She spoke on efforts towards immunization and malaria prevention, advocacy against social vices, campaigns on drug abuse and sickle cell eradication, as well as the recognition received in primary healthcare services. High Commissioner to inspect Innovation Hub, SARC Centre in official visit to Kwara ▪︎ Gov Abdulrazaq to host dinner for top diplomat • Lever to pay courtesy call on Emir of Ilorin British Deputy High Commissioner Mrs. @gillleverobe Lever on Monday began an official visit to Kwara State on Monday as part of routine diplomatic activities in the country. Her itinerary in the state includes a meeting with state government officials, with Governor @RealAARahman AbdulRazaq and the First Lady Amb. Olufolake Abdulrazaq expected to host her to a dinner later on Tuesday. The diplomat is also expected to visit key government and civic institutions in the state, including the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) at the Sobi Specialist Hospital; Ilorin Innovation Hub, a key infrastructure of the Abdulrazaq administration; the Olufolake Safe Haven at the Stella Obasanjo Centre Ilorin, among others. Mrs Lever will also meet with the directorate of the state security services and hold interactive seesions with members of the civil society community and political parties in the state. The top diplomat will also pay a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, who is the chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs.
