@MarcyBelowFloor If I hadn't abandoned the belief that you needed dysphoria to be trans, I doubt I ever would have realized I was trans, let alone transition medically. I probably would still be living unhappily as a woman, and that's the best case scenario.

@MarcyBelowFloor LITERALLY. Mental illnesses mask themselves very often, but no one talks about it so no one realizes. Transitioning lifted a good 90% of the weight depression had on me, and I eventually put two and two together on that.

The thing is it is entirely valid and legit to transition purely bc it sounds fun or euphoria , however it is also true a lot of trans people that don't claim to have dysphoria do have it just in a very repressed form
