With my eyes closed and while I was lounging on a lazy chair on the porch that faces the sea, her perfume gently caressed me. I waited for her to come to me, not because I didn't miss her, but because I knew for a fact that she'd surprise me even though I could sense her presence from miles away. With my eyes still shut, my peace was replaced with joy when she suddenly kissed my head and sat on my lap before pecking my cheek and burying her face in my neck. "I brought you some crabs," she whispered, gaining a frown from me, but was quickly followed by a kiss on my nose and another set of words from her, which made me smile like a fool. "You know crabs have less meat than shrimps and lobsters, yeah?" I told her, but she just giggled like she does whenever she's up to no good. At that moment, I remembered the line that I once told her. That time when I gave her my trust and entrusted her with my whole life. I'm not sure if she remembers that or if she even took it to heart, but one thing's for sure: she's doing it without making me feel like I'm a burden, as if nothing happened. She's still the same woman whom I fell in love with and more...so much more. "Come on, my favorite artist. Let's eat those crabs," she uttered, taking me back to the present while I touch the small scratches in her fingers brought by the crabs. I kissed each and every one of them, hoping that it would mend it, letting her know that I appreciate her efforts so much that my tears started to well up behind my eyes. "I love you," I whispered while I attempted to tuck her hair behind her ear, as I was looking at the shadowy, blurred image of her. Before she could reply to me, as the tears began to flood my sightless eyes, I swallowed the lump in my throat and whispered, "Thank you. For staying with me, Ma Chérie (My Darling), Ma moitié (My Other Half).. Ma Vie (My Life)." Tender Moment; When Light Falls: "If I lose my sight one day, I'll be counting on you to see the world for me."
