💯 agree Still a casual bias towards the bigger team. The AVAR was the only 1 really saying anything about the other fouls. The VAR seemed blinkered on just the Pablo foul. Then they didn’t show the ref any decent angles of all the other fouls in the box before the Pablo foul.

The foul. From Trossard. That informs everything that Pablo does in that sequence. Is “nothing”. It’s “nothing”. Not looking at the ball. Holding Pablo by the waist. Pulling him down. Preventing him jumping for the ball. It’s “nothing”. I give up with these people.

• Havertz pulls Soucek down • Mavropanos held by MLS and then grabbed by Rice • Todibo bear hugged by Trossard You can call so many different fouls here. Pablo does foul Raya, no doubt, but if VAR is going to change that call, West Ham should get a penalty as well.

You know the crazy part? Literally every Premier League club has an example of Arsenal scoring the exact same goal against them which wasn't disallowed.

A six-minute VAR delay with 25 replays to decide which of the multiple set-piece wrestling manoeuvres was clearly and obviously worthy of punishment. A fittingly decisive moment for the 2025-26 Premier League season.
