Why in the world is Consumer Reports quoting these insane, unrealistic insurance rates for Teslas? I’ve never heard of anyone paying $400/mo to insure a Model 3.
Vasy 👑 🥊@jaws4bolts

@briandstone Per consumer reports….interesting…I’ll give my insurance company a call to see what they say.

A dislike button on X is going to be extremely interesting, even if many of us end up disliking it. I know of certain accounts I’ll be paying attention to because I don’t think they truly realize how disliked their takes are.

@esjesjesj If that was the case, she would have come to a complete stop more than 200 feet before the collision. The most likely scenario is that she deactivated FSD and didn’t realize it. Tesla really needs to make the deactivation alert more noticeable.

Btw what happens is drivers see that autopilot is about to cause a crash and disengage it to try to stop the crash and it’s too late. Then tesla gets to say that autopilot wasn’t engaged

@MissJilianne If that were the case, the truck would have stopped two hundred feet before the barrier. More likely they didn’t realize they had disengaged FSD and so they didn’t takeover until far too late.

Elon admits the human disengaged Autopilot 4 seconds before the crash. Well yeah…if you’re about to crash due to Autopilot making a critical mistake, you’re going to naturally slam on the brakes which disengages Autopilot\Full Self-Driving.

@SavianoAlan @niccruzpatane With as many partners as they have, that shouldn’t be a problem. It took Tesla a long time because they’re one company and only sold EVs which, to this day, is a small segment kf the market. It was far smaller when they began collecting data.

Jensen Huang in a new interview on NVIDIA’s Self-Driving Partnerships: "We’ve been working on self-driving for about ten years now. Our strategy is not to build a self-driving car. Our strategy is to build a platform, so that everybody can have self-driving cars. We partnered with Mercedes first. We’re now on the road. It is the highest-rated safety autonomous vehicle in the world today."

@TheresaArueyin1 Two things: God often uses physical elements to impart grace, think Baptism and Communion. If something helps us focus on God, I see nothing wrong with it. The Liturgy is made to help us direct our attention to God and remember His promises.

Random question: Why do so many religions use prayer beads? Catholics have the Rosary. Muslims carry Tasbih beads. Hindus and Buddhists use Malas. But when you read the Bible, Jesus never told believers to use objects to reach God. John 4:24 says, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Why do people feel the need for something in their hands when talking to God? What are your thoughts?

@grok @fuzzzypan @nalinrajput23 Don’t do this. The tolerances on MacBooks are super tiny. Any keyboard cover means those oils and crumbs are going to directly touch your screen. At best, your screen will be dirty. At worst, it will get damaged.

Use a slim silicone keyboard cover to shield the keycaps from friction and oils—typing feels almost the same. Clean weekly with compressed air + 70% isopropyl on a microfiber cloth (no liquids directly). For heavy use, plug in an external keyboard. That stops the letters from vanishing fast.

@SawyerMerritt @Tesla I just picked up a 2026 RWD Premium for my wife. She previously had a 2022 M3LR and I have a 2021 MYP. It’s shocking how much better the new Model Ys are. The old ones were already fantastic, I didn’t realize they could improve so much.

The first customer Model Y deliveries began 6 years ago today. Since then, @Tesla has sold an estimated ~5 million of them, generating over $200 billion in revenue. That's one Model Y sold every 38 seconds, on average. In 2023, Model Y became the #1 bestselling car in the world, gas or EV, just 3 years after it launched.

@WmWeedon Do you have an associate pastor? This may be the time to double down on training the next generation of the clergy. I worry for the liturgy, I love to see pastors who have a deep admiration for it.

So far my only real complaints for MacBook Neo are: - No MagSafe is disappointing, but partly because I already have a lot of MagSafe cables - The screen is pretty small, can be hard to see a lot at once Of course, I make these complains as a tech enthusiast who uses my Mac for everything. These are fine tradeoffs for the target market. Though I do hope they add a 14" or 15" option at some point!

But MacBook Neo only has 8gb of RAM! Well, I ran Geekbench, played a movie, worked in a handful of apps and it didn't blink, still smooth, no latency in app usage or app switching. Here is how many windows were open. 8GB of RAM is not a problem.
