Palestinians in Gaza are concentrated into ever-shrinking space, hemmed in by Israeli ground forces that continue to push deeper into the strip. Yesterday's announcement that Israeli forces will expand deployment to cover 70% of Gaza calls into question any meaningful safety for Palestinian families. "It is difficult enough to navigate life in chronic displacement in the ruins of Gaza, under blockade, and after Israeli attacks virtually destroyed every essential system: healthcare, education, food production, law enforcement and civil order.
