#VSSMED #anvil Good morning. I can hear the sparrows sing, thanks in part to the anvil. It's 1 of 3 bones in the middle ear. They amplify sound then send it to the oval window. I have visions of a miniscule person who catches a sound, gives it a bash on the anvil & sends it on.

i overthink, therefore i am perpetually exhausted.

I'm growing gardens in my chest of words I never said. Vines of "I'm sorry" with thorns that still catch my throat. Tall, pale stalks of "I was afraid" that bloom once in the moonlight. Whole fields of silent "I love yous," their roots tangled deep beneath my tongue. #vss365
