In Australia, I used to grow loads of veggies, all year round.
In the UK, I can barely grow anything for about 8 months of the year. Looking forward to eating nothing but onions and cabbage this winter 🫠

We already don’t have access?
I’ve been on 3 different UK visas, and none give me access to welfare. It says on our Residence Permit “NO ACCESS TO PUBLIC FUNDS”.
Not to mention I’ve paid £1000’s in health surcharges (each visa renewal) AND pay into national insurance…

Scan as you go is pretty big here too, but we usually get stopped and “randomly” checked. Which means it ends up taking longer than just going through a till anyway 🙃

@RhunWords Urgh. I really hate to admit it, but we have an Amazon Fresh a few 100 metres away from home, and it actually works so freaking well. Especially with a toddler to be in and out and just throw stuff in a backpack/pram as you go is great. Didn’t know this is how it worked though 😣

I know we’re supposed to be worried AI will take over, but I asked ChatGPT to help me with some guitar exercises, and it got the tuning for D standard wrong.
Even though I told it “I’m tuned in D standard, which is a whole step down”.
I think we’ll be ok for a while…
