why should a prop firm impose trailing drawdown? you open a trade, it goes in your favour, and your drawdown threshold moves up with your equity now, even a normal pullback can knock you out of a challenge you were winning so ask yourself: who does this rule actually protect? it doesn't protect you, and it doesn't make you a better trader it exists because it increases the probability of you failing, which is exactly what every prop firm wants trailing drawdown isn’t protection, it’s a trap dressed up as “risk management” we're setting a new standard, the industry will soon follow.
