My son who was an infant when Valor was a startup charter was lucky enough to get a lottery spot. He started 5th grade today. We definitely feel like we hit the lottery. He was even more excited than me.

The academics are incredible. But that's not what impressed me so much initially. It was that they were perhaps more focused on social-emotional learning, and not in a touchy-feely way (though I definitely teared up the first time I watched this). youtube.com/watch?v=YYmz6q…
