@donalgreene Exactly the same in Oriel. No fight, no intensity no will to win. Just going through motions. Hard work and effort is bare minimum expectations 🤷 Regardless of how you play you should be able to look in the mirror and say I gave everything for the jersey out there

Waterford are in trouble and I don’t think this is a Jon Daly issue. Just glance at these highlights, it’s like they’re playing walking football. Zero urgency, no pressing, completely flat. youtu.be/r3_keIT9k4s?is…

@freilly06 @CiaranQuinn18 @stephenhealy87 It's not a push , Kenny steps across and their legs tangle up. No much complaints from payers close to it. Was soft but can see why it was given. Also think Sligo could have had one near the end. No bias, just calling it as I see it

@flano1978 @CiaranQuinn18 @stephenhealy87 What are you on about? Fitzgerald had his hand near fully extended, and as the player came across he actually bends it in towards his own body as to not push him. I'll take a wild guess and say you're not exactly neutral

@stephenhealy87 Thought it was v clumsy at the least with the follow through and you couldn't have argued if ref gave it. Sligo bit unlucky to leave empty handed

@donalgreene Always has been negativity on that Donal since the dial up days. Wasn't a great performance last night but 6pts over a long weekend and people still not happy. Winning ugly is a great trait and shows they can dig deep when needed 👍Players with knocks etc need time to recover

I need to stop checking OrielWeb. The negativity is insane. I thought the lads played well enough last night. Complaining about 5 changes shows a total lack of understanding of the load players accumulate in games. I think 10/11 of the team last night played Div 1 last season. Phenomenal coaching, squad management, and use of subs. I think some fans expect us to be challenging at the top!

Can’t understand why goalies take up this starting position especially when all the attackers are behind you just drop a couple of yards and give yourself a chance to attack the ball ⚽️🧤

FT: Derry City 2-2 Dundalk A soft 98th minute penalty, dispatched by Michael Duffy earns Derry City an unlikely share of the spoils against Dundalk. Gbemi Arubi’s goal – Dundalk’s 100th in all competitions under Ciarán Kilduff – looked like it had earned the Lilywhites a huge win on the opening night of their 100th season in the League of Ireland. Derry born Eoin Kenny’s 21st minute strike had given the Lilywhites a half-time lead only for Patrick McClean to head home an equaliser three minutes into the second half. Dundalk only won once away from home in 2024 and looked like they had equalled that when Arubi fired home on 65 minutes but Declan Toland then decided to award a soft penalty for a pull by Cornwall on Akinyemi which Duffy dispatched. Despite the equaliser, Derry’s wait for back-to-back wins at the start of a season will continue into an 11th season.

@flano1978 Yes Flano. @dfctrust did exactly what they were set up to do in helping with the pitch costs. No new pitch = no license.

John Temple has issued a 7-day notice to Chris Clinton, claiming he hasn’t been fully paid and still considers himself @DundalkFC majority shareholder! ⚠️ He’s also challenged several statements from Clinton and threatened further legal action if the issue isn’t resolved! 🧑‍⚖️

@seidodge Sure they knew before a ball was kicked this season that pitch wasn't up to Premier standard but got away with using it for 1st div. Was supposed to be government grand and funding in place from sports grant for lights and pitch 🤷‍♀️Is that not still there ??

Looks to be more than just a group of fans griping in Dundalk. The people who own 35% of the club want Temple out too. They also confirm that “the pitch at Oriel Park has failed the checks required for use in the Premier Division” independent.ie/sport/soccer/l…

@JGill_Giller @donalgreene Hard to play nice fball and tiny taka around the box when they defended 10 behind the ball in the box. Deliveries were excellent for the majority of the time. Manning has to start at LB next game.
