Stop trying to make “conservatism” an excuse for your bigotry and ignorance. Your ideas aren’t accepted or tolerated because they are garbage ideas, not because they are conservative ideas. The world isn’t discriminating against you, it’s discriminating against stupidity.

@randywsandberg @RealAtheology @iamAtheistGirl There is however, an atheist movement. Incorrectly coined IMO. While it is entirely atheists it works to promote skepticism in general. It is kinda hard to break away from the atheism label when you spend majority of the time fighting burgeoning theocracy.

@nogod_pinesnake @SlenderSkeptic @iamAtheistGirl Ok listen carefully. It’s secularism plus other things. Very clear other things stated within the article. See what I’ve highlighted here for example. Two of those things pertain to secularism. So to solely put it under a secular heading would be a misnomer, right?

How can you be so blind to reality when you claim to want to be epistemologically accurate?! This is cognitive dissonance taken to the next level!

It says “..and religious skepticism.” Then it even goes on to say it was sponsored by major atheistic organizations. Almost like a bunch of atheists gathered to promote common ideals.

I’m not the one moving goalposts on definitions here. I’ve been using the dictionary definition of movement this whole time which you have failed to explain to me how I’m wrong about that.

@flashbangz89 @SlenderSkeptic @iamAtheistGirl Ok, how about giving an example or 2 of where it goes beyond secularism? Please remember the philosophy of atheism is “the lack of belief or the disbelief in a god/gods or deity”. And the philosophy of secularism is a far reaching political philosophy.
