We're proud that Flawless has been named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2026 – ranked #5 in Film & Television, and the leading AI company on the list.
This recognition reflects something we've believed from the start: the film and TV industry deserves AI that works *for* it – not against it.
While much of the AI conversation has centred on replacement, we've stayed focused on a different model for AI in cinema.
Built in close collaboration with guilds, unions, and studios, TrueSync™ and DeepEditor™ are designed to:
→ protect artistic rights
→ honour real performances
→ preserve human authorship
That's what pioneering assistive AI actually means.
Thank you to Fast Company for this honor – and to every filmmaker, partner, and collaborator who has helped shape what Flawless is becoming.
We’re excited to share our latest case study on Playdate – the action comedy starring Isla Fisher, Alan Ritchson, and Kevin James.
Late in post production, the film hit an unexpected challenge. Five lines of dialogue were putting the PG-13 rating at risk, with no opportunity to return to set. The team turned to Flawless’ DeepEditor.
Using the tool, they updated the lines while preserving the original performances on screen. Subtle but vital changes that kept director Luke Greenfield’s vision intact.
The result was a PG-13 rating, helping Playdate go on to debut as the most-watched title on Prime Video across 46 countries.
Our thanks to producer Jason Benoit for sharing his experience so openly as part of this case study. His perspective on protecting performance and creative intent speaks to what assistive AI can do when it’s built to serve filmmakers.

"A transformative advance in localization that preserves actor intent and emotional nuance, dramatically raising the bar for global distribution."
We're excited to see Flawless named among Media Play News' "Smart Moves: 20 Game-Changing Uses of AI in Digital Entertainment".
This accolade reflects a broader industry shift toward AI technologies that prioritize credibility over novelty. As global distribution accelerates, the most impactful innovations are those that replace inefficiency while protecting the human elements that define storytelling.
Thank you to Media Play News for this recognition.

This is why we build these tools. 🚀
‘Playdate’ soared to #1 on the Prime Video charts. But a year into production, the feature faced a problem: five expletive-laden lines stood between it and the PG-13 rating its producers wanted.
The cast had gone. The sets were struck. All reshoots were off the table.
That’s when VFX editor John To thought of Flawless’ DeepEditor, which gave the filmmakers exactly what they needed:
✔️ Producers Mark Fasano and Jason Benoit: a fix that didn't touch the locked cut
✔️ Director Luke Greenfield: the ability to preserve the film’s timing, tone, and performances
✔️ The cast: a simple way to record their replacement lines remotely
With censorship edits made, 'Playdate' secured its PG-13 rating.
A small intervention with a significant impact.

Playdate has taken the number one spot on Prime Video. 🎉
We're excited to share that our tool DeepEditor™ was used for censorship editing:
→ Several curse words were removed
→ Actors provided ADR
→ DeepEditor™ synced new dialogue
This meant the filmmakers could secure a lower MPA rating.
No reshoots. No compromises. Just cleaner cuts that stay true to the actors and the scenes.
Congratulations to the cast, crew, and everyone behind Playdate on a streaming hit!
Thanks to Flawless for their great AI video editing event.
This was one for high end professionals.
The game changer in the space.. granular control of video footage to match new dialogue.
This has meant entire movies have been converted from foreign language perfectly lip-synced into English.. and visa versa.
Entire scenes in movies can have dialogue changes without having to reshoot the footage.
This is all done with cooperation with actors unions.. and actors permissions at the forefront of the tech.
And it uses a familiar timeline approach and has plugins for major editing software such as avid media composer.
The real game changer is that anything you do with this AI is identical every time. This is in stark contrast to the prompt driven AI that many of us may be used to where every iteration has different results.
This is one of the many upcoming AI Professional tools that will no doubt dominate the film industry in the coming years.

@Flawlessai has now successfully completed (together with crazy pictures) the "vubbing" of the Swedish UFO movie, watch the skies
Instead of simple dubbing, its in english, with the actors voices, and lip synched 🤯
Flawless is thrilled to announce that Watch the Skies 🛸👽 is now streaming on Prime Video in the U.S. and U.K.

After directing films like 'Heist', starring Robert De Niro, Flawless Co-Founder Scott Mann set out to create the filmmaking tools he wished he’d had.
The result: DeepEditor and TrueSync — powerful examples of how assistive AI can empower editors, actors, and directors to tell their stories better.

We packed out a cinema in central London — with some of the best editors in the business.
One thing was clear. AI in film and TV is no longer a question of 'if'.
Now, editors are asking:
➡️ Which tools?
➡️ Which use cases?
Which uses of AI-assisted editing are you most excited by?
In case you missed it, our co-founders were named in Observer’s 2025 A.I. Power Index, highlighting their contribution to the future of artificial intelligence. Read the article: #76-77-nick-lynes-scott-mann" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">observer.com/list/2025-ai-p…
Artists should chart the creative path, with technology accelerating (but never steering) the journey.
Their vision must always lead, never compromised or reduced by the tools that support it.
That's how we'll empower the world’s creators to tell their best stories—and bring them to every screen.
Our role isn’t just to influence the industry to use AI ethically – we’re providing it with the very technologies it needs to do so.
Every model we use is ethically sourced and legally cleared. What you create remains yours with no copyright gray zones.
