As someone who had a zero risk pregnancy, no pregnancy symptoms, I went for routine checkup & was told I was having contractions, had my baby in 3 pushes no epidural and even now, he’s such an easy baby to take care of I still WOULD NOT do it again!!! People make it seem like mothers are saying motherhood is tough because they had a hard pregnancy and it’s simply not true. Hard or easy oh, it’s such a wild experience and that’s why you’d often hear older women say things like they wish they waited till much later to have kids that’s if they even decide to. It’s the hardship that women before us coined into ‘joys of motherhood’ and experience has made a lot of people realise it.
