Oh Moley maybe look up 'The Doctrine of Discovery' and see how religion played a big role especially in lands that were colonised (sociologically) speaking. Religion runs along sectarian lines...that's how wars start (historically) speaking...i'ts a prime example of conflict & the policics of division

Important to note I spent early years in Australia not having to think about this shit but have worked for a US healthcare org, large agency, small agency and self employed in US and not had any major issues but heard enough horror stories to realize that this shit isn’t right
