Earlier this year, geoconservationist and @AussieAstrobio PhD candidate @clarefletcher42 spent four weeks living and working at the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah.
This remote station provides scientists with a “testing ground” for identifying evidence of early life.

Recently, I spent a month at @TheMarsSociety's @MDRSupdates research station. The 2 crews taught me a lot about research, living on Mars, myself, and my own work and how I could conduct it on Mars. I'm super grateful to have been supported by @TheMarsSociety and @marssocietyoz

Day 3 of #ASRC & that's a wrap! I'm leaving having learned a lot, particularly about space weather + the Antarctic (didn't anticipate hearing so much of these, but I enjoyed thoroughly) + more. My heart is full feeling that the Aus space community is just that - a community 💖🚀

Day 2 #ASRC! Dr Carl Seubert of @SmartSatCRC, the 1st plenary today, has reminded us all of Australia's history of bold exploration to conduct ground-breaking science. Aus can and should continue this legacy! But we need the funding & jobs for fundamental sciences as well as R&D

Day 1 of #ASRC done! A year ago this was the 1st conference I went to in my PhD, so it's a privilege to attend again and reflect on the work I've done this last year and the connections I've made (many from ASRC). Looking forward to the next 2 days and more talks and connections!
