@ProjectLincoln All brought on by Musk's support of Maga. The US was doing just fine before Trump 2.0 and so was Musk and Tesla. Musk has destroyed his reputation and has caused enormous damage to Tesla. He must leave Tesla for Tesla to survive.

A devastating Tesla earnings report today… Net income fell 71%. Total revenue slid 9% from $21.3 billion a year earlier. Tesla stock down 41% so far in 2025, suffered their worst quarterly drop since 2022.

Sad Day. I removed the Tesla branding on my Model 3 long range, dual motor. Great car but I need to distance myself from Elon Musk whose extreme right actions are imploding the Tesla brand. @elonmusk

@elonmusk has been so far right radicalized that as a Tesla owner I'm totally turned off and don't even feel like washing my car anymore. As far as Twitter/X I'm staying away and have been using and enjoying Threads.

I am uncomfortable growing Tesla to be a leader in AI & robotics without having ~25% voting control. Enough to be influential, but not so much that I can’t be overturned. Unless that is the case, I would prefer to build products outside of Tesla. You don’t seem to understand that Tesla is not one startup, but a dozen. Simply look at the delta between what Tesla does and GM. As for stock ownership itself being enough motivation, Fidelity and other own similar stakes to me. Why don’t they show up for work?

This is the right take. Elon owns ~411 million shares of $TSLA - is that not incentive enough for Tesla the company to do well for years to come? His $100 billion today turns into 1 trillion if TSLA surpasses Saudi Aramco & Apple. Why the need for another comp plan? For the record, if the board brings forward something I wouldn’t be opposed. Just confused.

When you have as much $TSLA shares as Elon has, why would you need another huge compensation package to get motivated? I know everyone wants Elon to tweet 24/7 about $TSLA, but how often do we hear creators complain about getting trapped in a niche? Its the same with Elon, let him tweet about what he is interested in. Elon is and always has been hellbent on accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy, i don't think he needs a $1 trillion compensation package to stay motivated to do that. im not going to complain if he gets a new package for lets say, $100 billion worth of tesla shares if he gets $TSLA to $5 trillion... but some of the numbers being thrown around are too extreme, IMO.
