So, to make things clear.....The Bezo's have enough money to bankroll the Met Gala, but not enough to make sure their employees get bathroom breaks, healthcare, or I don't know, ensure food sovereignty in the United States? And they can afford to pay their fair share of taxes.

my problem with fashion as art reduced to “this dress kinda looks like that painting” is that it denies fashion artistic credibility outside its proximity to more traditional mediums
