Et lorsqu'il y aura suffisamment de VE dans le parc automobile français, votre gouvernement préféré vous pondra une taxe bien salée pour compenser la baisse de la TICPE. Rappelez-vous que nous avons un État obèse incapable de faire des économies... Cette ou ces taxe(s) rendront alors le coût au kilomètre aussi élevé que celui effectué avec un vulgaire litre d'essence ou de gazole. Dans les années 2000-2010, le gouvernement avait déjà mis en place une fiscalité avantageuse sur gazole. Lorsque le parc Diesel fut conséquent, couic ! Le problème avec les normies est qu'ils adorent être pris par derrière. Ils en redemandent. 🤦

@BuySellBA The buenos aires real estate game you're operating is tougher than the Bitcoin game. Less volatility (still crazy for real estate) but much less liquidity. The in and out game is a real challenge even more with the constant capital control rule change. Total whichcraft

Yes about the balls. It's funny because everyone said I was crazy but then after a few years they said, "you're really lucky". Sold my equity in my company, sold my house, sold my cars, cashed in my 401K and went all in on Buenos Aires real estate as I already had a business model that I validated first before moving and going all in.
You nailed it. People often say "you're so lucky". In 2017/2018 we got 95% of our clients out of Buenos Aires real estate as we figured it topped out. That is exactly what happened. They again said "you were lucky". Jumped back in 2023 and still buying.
Let's hope we're both right and able to buy BTC in the $40k's or lower.

@BuySellBA I live in France for now. Yes you had big balls to go all in on real estate at that time period. One thing to have the vision, another to act on it. Risk appetite is definitely not equally distributed. People must mistakenly call you lucky very often I guess 😂

Where in Europe do you live? I also agree if the shit hits the fan, everything is going to sell off. I kind of have a knack for buying when things are in terrible shape. I went all in on real estate in Argentina after the Corralito in 2002. Every one told me I was crazy! 🤣
I sold my company in Buenos Aires in 2010 because I told anyone that would listen to load up on real estate in the USA (especially Southern California). That ended up being a good call too.
I'd love to meet up either in Europe or Argentina. Best.

@BuySellBA Basically if you create a segwit wallet and never spend you Bitcoin in it the public key is never revealed and quantum could not do anything to your Bitcoin. Not true with taproot though. But hey the quantum FUD is good for our bearish strategy so let's keep people worried 😂

Yes, he is the only true OG that I personally know that got it in from Day 1. I knew another client that got in fairly early but had a bunch of his BTC hacked from Mt. Gox in 2014. After I heard about that I was happy I didn't get in.
But in the end it forced him to HODL and he recovered some of it but still working to get some more of it back. He dumped all of his over $100k.
Hear mixed things on quantum but good to hear there are protections.

@BuySellBA We all have the same story of the gap between when we heard of it and when we finally got fully into it 😅 I don't worry at all about quantum and if you are extra worried you can even protect yourself from it. Bitcoin will be ready for quantum before the rest of the world

Thanks for sharing. I feel like a fool because one of my clients back in 2010 was all in on Bitcoin. He tried explaining it to me and pleaded with me to just invest $10,000 USD at that time.
Extremely smart guy and he invested over $600,000 USD with me. I should have listened to him.
I didn't get in until much later. Mistake of my life. He retired very early in life and goes around Europe buying up castles and renovating them for fun.
Do you worry the fact that it's much different vs. what Satoshi had in mind? Or worry about quantum computing? I don't think it will ever be a large % of the portfolio.

@BuySellBA I didn't have to because I had cashflow but this time it represented such a big part of my networth that I had to cover. I will not be trading in the ranges even with spot because it's not worth the risk. I'm just sitting on my hands and let the heavy bearish trend do it's work

But have you ever sold and bought back or you're too afraid to lose out on your position? You didn't dump any at $100,000+ levels?
Even at these levels the past few weeks have been buying on days when it gets crushed and then dumping when it goes up.
Right now not holding any at all. Hopefully we see low $60's in the next few weeks.

@BuySellBA I've been a bag holder for many years with various - 80% draw down and at the end of the day it was fine. I was just adding at the bottoms. This time I protected capital. Bitcoin bag holder will be fine on a 4 years horizons

We have been actively investing hundreds of millions of dollars in Argentina since 2002 on behalf of our investors. We have been through 6 Presidents over that time. We have a great track record in Argentina during all that time. Our company was acquired by a multi-national company. Not many people can pull something like that off in Argentina. We have been through many boom and bust cycles but the thing that always helps in a country like Argentina is being objective and just looking at the facts. We had a big office in Recoleta in the early 2000's. We had 2 floors in a prominent building. Full of Embassies and Consulate offices and ex-President De la Rua was in the building and we became friends. We had coffee every month. One of the best pieces of advice he gave me as an ex President of Argentina was, "They love you until they hate you". And that advice has been spot on target for each of the past Presidents.

Exactly. This is exactly what we predicted last week. Some on X were saying how Wars are good for Argentina. And we strongly disagreed. Inflation is already going up and if things get worse this will be very difficult to contain. Terrible timing for Argentina. (And probably won't be good for the "Most Zionist President in the World").
