Summer sweep up idea: Remove the need to imbue rings and slayer helm. Just have the imbued version be the default. Imbuing them is so awful. Especially at the PVP arena. Or at least release a meaningful way to imbue them through a spell or something idk.

I think my overarching point that is hard to articulate: We need to factor in "FUN" into game updates, and the upcoming sweep up. OSRS is foundationally based on balancing xp rates and drop rates etc, but I think we've lost track of the part where we're also supposed to have fun!

@itzMightiee I make similar posts about OSRS suggestions. The community is always quite divided on new ideas, so naturally comments can become a bit of a war.
I genuinely block a couple people per day if they’re clearly not commenting for the spirit of conversation lol.

This tweet could have been an opportunity for open discussion about a proposal I’ve been hearing a lot in the community (some ppl did). But most people instead took it as an opportunity to talk shit instead & engagement farm. Pathetic.

Been getting a lot of questions about the idea of reworking drop rates at CG. My response: Do what you do with aaraxor & titans. Allow to sacrifice loot to increase the chance at an enhanced seed. Feel like that would work well with the grind.

@flomple For example you'd be able to imbue a ring of the gods after killing calvarion 10 times with it on and then using a bunch of soul runes if you have the required magic level to do so. That way even buying the item would make you engage with the content it comes from

@flomple Nightmare Zone should honestly be removed and then have redirection scrolls be added as content elsewhere. Maybe Mahogany Homes. Since that's actually pretty thematic.
Let's be honest. The rewards are all dogshit. The fact the store is also heavily restricted for Irons too.

@flomple @SwiftLilEagle I’ve never done pvp arena. Soulwars and nmz are both easy enough, although yah nmz should probably be deleted from the game :p I’m all for them adding a magic themed source of imbues. Honestly though, it’s fine as it is imo. I’d rather they focus on other qol personally.

@Mandrue @SwiftLilEagle I’m good to keep imbues, but the way you get them just makes no sense imo. Imagine to get “auto-weed” you need to do LMS. And imagine the meta was to go into an LMS game, and immediately forfeit and you get points.
Thats where imbues are at right now.

@SwiftLilEagle @flomple They’re clunky sure, but this is an “oldschool” game. It’s supposed to be clunky at time. Especially with the older content, that’s part of the charm. 🤷♂️ Imbues are super easy to get, just takes a couple hours and then you have them forever outside of pvp.

Let me give an example: imagine you get a Tbow, BUT its half the stats of a regular Tbow. To make it have full stats, you need to do a minigame for 30 minutes that is completely and entirely unrelated to CoX.
At that minigame (on a fake server) the meta is to forfeit pvp fights

@Ryan84647331568 I think its just the “grind” part. Shouldn’t grinds be fun? Hopping to a fake server to challenge people and leave for 30 mins to imbue a ring isn’t really consistent with other upgrades.
Its a ring, why not have it be like other rings that you enchant using a spell? Idk

@GeorgianGunRat I think NMZ could be a really cool minigame if redesigned heavily. Extremely hot take, but having combat achievements tied to it could be cool.
Kill Galvek while killing Glough at the same time for example.
