Pretty exited about scoped threads being re-introduced to the #rustlang standard library. It's a really nice abstraction for fork/join style parallelism. github.com/rust-lang/rust…
@fritzy I also do have to admit I know too little about the backgrounds. OTOH I do find some comedic value in something that is touted as distributed and not belonging to anyone being taken over…
@fritzy One might even go as far as claiming this is the reason the shift hasn't happened, even though it has been promised for years. Further pointing to the actual problem being human greed.
If you want a more specific problem, then here is one: I think if Ethereum successfully moved to proof of stake (which has its own issues) it'll make the investment incentives less interesting (dividends), and people will stop participating.
So… I misplaced all my USB Storage and wanted to install Arch on a Win 11 UEFI Laptop. Surprisingly simple:
1. Open PowerShell as Admin
2. mountvol X: /S
3. copy ipxe-arch.efi to X: (in PS)
4. Add boot option for it from UEFI Setup
5. Disable Secure Boot
6. Start the Setup

@G33KatWork IDK, I mean, I'm not too fond of the whole async situation myself, but for websockets specifically tungstenite seems to have bindings to whatever runtime you could have. We've been using tokio-tungstenite at work for quite some time, while switching web frameworks nonetheless.
