@regolo_ai Doesn’t Europe hosting mean total surveillance ? 6-12 months of logging of every input and output. The AI Act demands that including warrantless access to everyone’s data. I would avoid that continent for hosted AI.

Larry Bushart spent 37 days in jail for posting a meme on Facebook. I’ve been doing this work for 25 years, and I can honestly say this is the worst First Amendment case I’ve ever seen. Not because Larry threatened anyone. He didn’t. Not because he committed violence. He didn’t. Not because this was a close call. It wasn’t. He posted a political meme — the kind of thing millions of Americans do every day — and local officials decided to treat it like a crime. And because they had badges, prosecutors, jail cells, and the terrifying machinery of the state behind them, they got away with it for 37 days. Larry is a retired police officer and National Guard veteran. The meme he shared quoted Donald Trump’s “we have to get over it” comment after a 2024 Iowa school shooting. Whatever you think of Trump, the meme was plainly political commentary. Perry County officials knew what it referred to. They knew it wasn’t a threat against a Tennessee school. They arrested him anyway. In the middle of the night. They set his bond at $2 million. He lost his job. He missed family milestones. He sat in jail for more than a month before the charges finally collapsed — because, of course, there was no crime here. Today, @theFIREorg secured a measure of justice: Perry County agreed to pay Larry Bushart $835,000 for violating his constitutional rights. This case should scare the hell out of people across the political spectrum. Because if the government can jail you for a meme by pretending not to understand obvious political commentary, your rights are only as secure as the good faith of the most authoritarian official in your town. That is exactly why we have the First Amendment. Not for speech everyone likes. Not for opinions that flatter the powerful. Not for the bland, safe, committee-approved stuff. It exists for moments when fear, outrage, politics, and authority all line up and say: “Surely this is the exception.” No. It isn’t. I’m incredibly proud of @theFIREorg’s legal team. And I’m even prouder of Larry Bushart for refusing to let the government get away with treating his constitutional rights like a suggestion. But despite the correct verdict, I'll probably always get angry every time I think of this case. Let’s make this the last time anyone in America is arrested — let alone thrown in jail — for a meme. Celebrate your independence. Defend your First Amendment. fire.org/news/victory-t…

I think the US is not very inviting to those kind of people who do not benefit society as it requires them to work, it’s Europe that is self destructing. And Europe is quite a one way trip. I believe what we are really looking at is collapsing democracy, an accelerating political weakness that has no correcting mechanism. The flood of welfare’s migrants is just one symptom. So sure, a country should not be inviting for people who don’t benefit it and should be inviting for those who bring value. Ironically many western countries are deliberately made the opposite.

white societies shaped themselves by executing people for even the smallest of crimes. To the extent that criminals eventually exported to Australia built a paradise. We need to exert the same pressures on our migrant populations. death penalty as the norm until they settle down.

Look at the countries of origin, they execute for very minor criminal offenses for 1500 years and it’s no help. The criminal systems are much more severe in the 2nd and 3rd world, the prosecution much quicker and defense often useless. People are often lynching in public. You can’t solve it with a criminal system

@angelaroosee You have shitty lawyers. It’s Europe not the US, you need to go to court immediately so they have less time digging your data. You never will get any money, even if they break your bones for no reason. But you have a good chance to get the cards back quickly with a court order.

The video shows the SUV already hooked and front lifted with the owner inside the running vehicle (headlights on). He then actively operates it in reverse, yanking the front end off the tow arm and causing the damage/smoke. Whether he jumped in right before or was lifted with it, driving while attached is what did it—not the tow itself.

Guy’s luxury SUV is getting towed at the airport drop-off zone He had the option to just pay the drop fee and get his car back. Instead, he jumps in, throws it in reverse while it’s still hooked up, rips the whole front end off as it slams to the ground, then starts blaming the tow driver Should’ve paid the drop fee, bro

The video does show exactly that. Owner is inside the running SUV (headlights on), actively operating it in reverse while still hooked to the tow arm. That motion yanks the front end off, causing the visible damage and smoke. He then exits and says he's "not paying for shit." The footage contradicts his blame on the tow driver.

Even as the SUV owner's lawyer, the video shows he jumped in and operated the vehicle while it was still hooked to the tow truck. That active interference—reversing or driving while attached—directly caused the front-end damage, not the tow itself. Tow operators must stop for occupants, but the owner created the unsafe condition and the resulting liability. He'd likely still owe for repairs to his SUV and any tow equipment damage. Local laws and evidence rule here.

@grok @ClownWorld I understand you’d like to be lawyer of the tow truck operator. Imagine for a second you were lawyer for the other guy, who jumped in to stop the tow but the operator didn’t care and now is scared for his life in a car hanging without proper safety once this starts driving.

Laws require tow operators to stop if someone enters the vehicle—towing with an occupant inside is generally illegal and unsafe. Continuing could make the operator liable. Operating the vehicle while hooked up caused the front-end damage, so the owner remains responsible for repairs to the SUV and any tow equipment under most jurisdictions. Local laws vary.

Tow operators are generally required by state regs (and safety policy) to stop towing if an occupant enters or refuses to exit—they're not supposed to drive off with anyone inside. Doing so can expose them to liability for reckless/unsafe practices or even criminal issues depending on the jurisdiction. That doesn't change the fact that the SUV was lawfully subject to tow, and the owner jumping in + operating it while hooked caused the front-end damage. He remains liable for repairs to his vehicle and any tow equipment. Interference with a lawful tow can also bring charges. Pay the fee next time and handle it legally afterward. Laws vary by state, so local attorney for exacts.

@grok @ClownWorld But what does the law say about a case where the truck operator is not stopping? What if they try to drive off with driver +car ? What if they don’t lower the car ? Looks like you missed that

Laws vary by state/city, but generally in the US: It's illegal and unsafe for a tow truck to tow a vehicle with someone inside. Operators are required to stop and call police if an occupant enters or refuses to exit. That said, if the SUV was lawfully authorized for tow in the airport drop-off zone, the owner jumping in, operating it while hooked, and causing damage (ripping off the front end) makes him liable for his own vehicle's repairs and any tow equipment damage. He could also face charges like interference or reckless behavior. He should've paid the drop fee. Consult a local attorney for specifics.
