@Via_homa Aww thank you!! That's so sweet of you to say! I really wanted to make sure I captured the beauty of the original video so I'm glad to know that came through hehe :D
@flowerjin4 Wow… At first, I thought someone had just posted a video and this was the thumbnail… Or that it was a photo or screenshot… It’s incredibly beautiful and looks so realistic.
@clusterdust Hehe thank you Roco!! Adding all the little reflections from the different light sources was definitely my fav part of the entire drawing process. I'm always looking for an excuse to add little blue or green highlights to skin and this glowy environment made a ton of those >:)
@flowerjin4 FLO? Blessing us again? More likely than you think….
How….did you manage to *draw* blur??? And the reflection of the light on Muti’s face??? I’m so in love with the vibes here and the expression they’re conveying…..ough……peak………
BTS announces they will not submit their music for the 2027 GRAMMY awards, following the Recording Academy’s addition of an Asian-focused category:
“I hope music itself can be heard and loved rather than being distinguished by region or language.”
@hmmBarkBark Hmm...maybe this is a sign to finally start going through the hundreds of brushes I've downloaded without using and see what I like! Thanks for all the general advice c:
@flowerjin4 I wish I knew more technical details to help you, but really its all about practicing and finding styles you'd like to incorporate into your art
a good brush is also important
@hmmBarkBark I've noticed!! It's so neat seeing bits of western comic inking and rendering techniques pop up in your art! :D I feel like you're really good at internalizing external references/inspo and blending them into your existing style. It's so cool!
@hmmBarkBark Ooh noted!! I've heard that first one a few times before but I feel like even my cleaned up sketches end up so much stiffer than my usual rough sketches...maybe it's just a practice thing. I've been told that I have a very tense pencil grip as well so that might be another factor
@flowerjin4 Some tips that helped me:
1) clean up your sketch instead of drawing on top of the sketch
2) always use references even for stuff you think you know how to draw (99% of the time, things look much better)
3) learn how to simplify shapes you see
I'll try to draw this last one 4 u
my favorite post hard launch anecdote was when dan said he had a nightmare that a giant bug hatched and attacked him then he woke up and told phil to make him feel better and phil was like ok so like the giant bug DID hatch but it isn't in the room with us rn so dw
@hmmBarkBark Omg please do!! I love looking at how other people do their lineart but I always get so frustrated doing my own. It's a bit better with traditional mediums but I never really got the hang of achieving good line weight variation or flow with digital art T-T
