Oh man, a colleague of mine strongly advocates to use not just Spring, but also Lombok :(

@MichaelAsiedu_ I don’t quite get it. If the decryption is done on the client, where do you store the decryption key? If decryption is done on the backend, why not use JWE?

I got help and made the following implementations: I’m using React Context to manage complex states. So i encrypted web tokens with AES(using crypto-js NPM package) before setting it on localStorage For every authorized request, a decryption is first done to extract the tokens There’s still some risk(nothing is invincible) but I’m satisfied with the additional layer of security

Developers, I need a helping hand 👋 How do you securely set/save json web tokens on browser when signed in? Almost every tutorial uses localStorage.set() but i don’t think that secure. Here’s a snippet of my code. 👇

@graninas So that's why Go doesn't really encourage exceptions. You hate those things! That explains a lot. Imho exceptions beat non-stop error code handling. I'm quite happy that Kotlin/Java has exceptions.

Google's C++ Style Guide prohibits exceptions. Rust disallows exceptions on the language level. Exceptions are the most evil of all implicit mechanisms in programming languages. Haskell has not one but two exception mechanisms in a row: sync and async. And that's a disaster.

@passle_ I wonder if there's such a thing as Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) in the Vue ecosystem? AFAIK making one happen is quite an undertaking. @xanf_ua @N_Tepluhina sorry to poke you in a quote tweet, but I would really appreciate your feedback on this.

Most invasive species on earth: humans. A diesel powered machine chopping down trees. How incredibly dumb.

@Omuliini @sankuperis There is a direct train line from Turku to Šakiai, but it goes via russian territory. It was even relatively high speed in some places.

The opposite of “front-end developer” is “rear-end developer”. Speaking of which: which tools do you use to develop your rear-end?
