Blade today announced an agreement to sell its Passenger division to Joby Aviation for up to $125mm.  Blade’s Medical division, which is one of the largest transporters of human organs for transplant in the US, is not included in the sale and will remain public to be rebranded as Strata post-close. The financial impact of the divestiture is expected to be Adjusted EBITDA and Free Cash Flow neutral. Rob Wiesenthal, will join Joby as CEO of Blade and will also serve as Chairman of the Board of Strata. Melissa Tomkiel, Blade's President and Will Heyburn, Blade's CFO will lead Strata as co-CEOs.  The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks. $blde
