A peek into Midnight's wing integration process: During manufacturing, each Midnight wing is inspected and assembled with subsystem parts before integration with the fuselage. The process of installation and validation includes high and low voltage wire routing and integration, as well as installation of wing extensions, tips, booms, and flaperon and control surface actuators. Once each wing completes these checks, it’s handed off to be integrated with the fuselage.

Archer aircraft are powered by advanced fly-by-wire systems. This means that flight computers act as an intermediary between the pilot and control surfaces, translating the pilot's commands to the aircraft's movement. This decreases workload on the pilot, reducing human error and freeing the pilot to focus on navigation and communication.

DOT & FAA just announced selections for the White House’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program. Great news is our partners in Florida, New York, and Texas were among those selected. Working to stand up Midnight operations through this program later this year. Huge win & clearest signal yet from the federal government that they’re serious about making commercialization of these aircraft a reality as soon as is safely possible. Major milestone for air taxis in the US 🇺🇸 Today the @USDOT and @FAANews selected our partners in Texas, New York, and Florida for the White House’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP). Like recent robotaxi pilot initiatives, this program creates a first-of-its-kind pathway to help bring the first new category of aircraft in nearly 80 years to market. We will now work directly with partners in Texas, New York, and Florida to begin laying the groundwork for early Midnight operations in those states later this year.
