On the flip side, there's no way I can remember the first NASCAR race I watched because it was always on. Pretty sure I was watching before I could walk and talk thanks to my dad.

2012 US Grand Prix, because COTA was such a big story in the Austin area. Prior to this I only ever saw clips as F1 really just wasn't a big thing in Texas until COTA. NASCAR was top dog by a huge margin back then.

@AORacingUSA I have personally experienced your admin try to police my behavior as well, though it wasn't to this "hey we might sue you" level. This is a trend that has resulted in my view of AO going from fun racing team to overzealous brand czars, trying to control what fans say and do.

At this point I'm watching AO social media channels to build a case study on how one of the most popular race teams is losing fans entirely due to poor social media admin. If buying Rexy merch means their admin is going to try to control us, we will buy other merch.

3) The thinly veiled threat of legal action that likely wouldn't hold up in court has IMSA fans discovering how AO tries to police their fans. In the past I've had the AO admin try and tell me what I could tweet because I "wasn't representing Rexy the right way" or some shit.

Here's the AO racing situation; 1) AO racing has a car with teeth. They aren't the first to do this and borrowed the idea from old race cars. 2) This fan wanted to put teeth on their car. AO replied saying they own the legal rights to "their livery."
