PRESS STATEMENT ValueJet Addresses Flight Cancellation on Calabar–Lagos Route ValueJet regrets the disruption caused by the cancellation of its scheduled Calabar–Lagos flight on Sunday, 5 July 2026, and sincerely apologizes to all affected passengers for the inconvenience. The decision to cancel the flight was taken in the interest of operational safety. Due to operational limitations at the destination airport, which is restricted to daylight operations, the flight could not be safely operated after daylight hours. While we understand the disappointment and frustration this caused, the safety of our passengers, crew, and aircraft will always remain our highest priority. @Osi_Suave I get your point, but the aviator industry in Nigeria is a wicked and inconsiderate one. Tell me why @flyvaluejet would be charging 200k for a 20 mins flight from JOS to ABV? They are devils!

Its just basic math. Enugu to Obudu by chopper is a 50min flight. 181 kilometers Nice to Monaco is 13kilometers which is a 7min flight.
