A stunning performance in many more ways than one tonight. A 9-man SDFC squad took down the #1 team in Mexico right now scoring all of their goals after Ingvartsen's Red Card and only conceding from the Penalty Spot. Talk about grit, fire and determination. SDFC showed it tonight

Manu Duah gets a Red Card and Toluca gets another PK. One of the very few calls tonight this official has made that can't be argued

SDFC's attack is going to get a lot of credit tonight, but the back line has played out of their minds since the PK. Ferree hasn't had to see anything too difficult tonight because of them. Flowers for all of them

This official is actively trying to help Toluca back into this match. Nitpicky Yellow Cards to Bombino and Duah in the last 10 minutes and every foul call going Toluca's way. Very frustrating to watch.

Looks like Vazquez is gonna get the last laugh tonight. He has BOTH SDFC goals tonight. Both scored long after Ingvartsen was sent off and this one within a minute of the second half starting. What a turnaround from the opening 15 minutes

This official tonight has been horrific! Potential PK in favor of SDFC on a possible handball goes unchecked. Dreyer (?) gets CLEARLY pushed down after a foul was called against Vazquez and only a Yellow Card was issued and no extension of Added Time for the commotion.

Also worth noting. There have been a lot of fouls committed against David Vazquez tonight and he is getting more visibly frustrated at the officials and the players fouling him as the first half went on.

BOTH fanbases here tonight booing the officials off the field at the end of the first half. SDFC and Toluca fans have found common ground tonight.

Very jarring first half so far. Not used to seeing SDFC getting outplayed, outmuscled and outworked. Tverskov knocked their heads together after the Red Card and PK and things have looked a bit better since. Pellegrino and Vazquez linked up to draw even at one while typing this.

First time since 2001 that they’ve played in it. They made it in 2020, but never got a chance to play. Can’t for the life of me remember why though.
