I've been running FM Scout since 2004. After 20 years of publishing other people's tools, I decided to build my own. Two months of coding from scratch. The result: FM Live Editor 26. 🧵

@UlsterSpud The UI has been a massive pain point. Miles mentioned they are working to make #FM27 more flexible, but the community is definitely waiting for proof. Sticking with FM24 until the reviews drop seems to be the gold standard for many veterans at this point.

@fmscout Allow for skinning so i can avoid their horrendous dashboard and maybe. If fm27 reviews are positive after the first few weeks ill buy it. If not im sticking with fm24 for the foreseeable

@golaxis I think that's spot on. Even Miles admitted that the move to the new engine caused a "loss of immersion" that they didn't anticipate. If #FM27 feels like a living world again, it will go a long way in healing that wound. Is that the #1 thing on your wishlist?

@fmscout The immersion loss is the real wound. FM was always about feeling like a manager, not navigating a spreadsheet. If they nail that back, everything else gets forgiven.

@MajorRaverMatt It's a tough spot for SI. If they don't release it, they've broken a promise; if they release it now, it looks like a preorder tactic. Miles admitted it's going to be a 2-part update. Does that transparency help or does it confirm your fears about it being an 'embarrassing mess'?

@fmscout He has treated fans of the series with utter contempt, and has only now come out of hiding due to the embarrassing mess the international element will be and in the hope people preorder FM27 in a few months.

@MacZidane While 'trust' might be a strong word for some, for others it’s about the value of their time & money. When you spend hundreds of hours a year on a hobby, you want to know the developers are heading in the right direction.

@fmscout "Trust", lol, it's a computer game. The entitlement of modern gamers is off the charts.

@JorgeIglsi97811 It's clear the last 2 years have been frustrating. This is the 1st time we've seen this level of admission from him. Do you think features like the International Management return can help turn things around, or is that bridge already burned for you?

@fmscout This is the man who ruined a brand. A man who should take responsibility and resign. Two years later and he still hasn't solved the game's problems. This is the man who hid behind failure and responsibility, and only now is he showing up. He should be ashamed of what he did.

@GraemeR13867555 It's never too old for FM! It says a lot that after the long wait from FM24, this version didn't hit the mark for you. Even Miles admits the UI and immersion aren't where they need to be. Hopefully, they can find that 'soul' of the game again.

I have played every year of FM since about 2000. Granted, I am 40 and some say to old to be playing computer games (I disagree), but this is the first game I gave up with and won't play again. Far too different, far too complicated, didn't enjoy it, won't be back unfortunately. They have ruined it in my opinion which is a shame. I loved FM2024.

@ByDannyDesign I agree. Even Miles admits they haven't reached the level of 'excellence' fans expect. FM27 has to be the year they prove the new engine was worth it.

#FM27 Is make or break for me. They have to get the next one right or it could be curtains

@seasideblade The Steam data (33% positive from 32k reviews) suggests the frustration is very widespread. What part of the game do you feel the influencers are being 'too harsh' on?

@fmscout I know I will be in the minority here, but it isn't as bad a game as some of the influencers and wannabe social professionals would have you believe
