@djride1 However, I truly feel that selection is the best DJ skill to have. I've seen people play technically flawless and skillful vinyl sets, but the crowd was unresponsive. On the other hand, I've seen my non-dj ex-gf destroyyyy a house party by having an aux cord and Spotify.

@djride1 It really depends; turntablism is considered a DJ skill (at least I do), but damn - it can easily kill a dancefloor at peak hour. It's all about time and place.

Nobody will ever know aside from basically the artist and the streaming platform. It's not like they display the version numbers or "last updated on: xx/xx/xxxx"

If someone releases an album strictly on a streaming platform and one song contains a distasteful lyric, they can just edit it out, replace the original, and pretend like it was never there.

I'm fascinated by the concept of doing updates to a piece of music on a streaming platform AFTER it's released. When it comes to previous versions of releases, there's no real archive (that I'm aware of), so they're basically nonexistent. It's almost as if you can rewrite history

Hell, designers should start putting their tag on flyers. Kind of like producer tags, but for visual arts.

We gotta start giving credit to designers on event promos. I've been coming across soooo many dope flyers lately and can never figure out who designed them.
