my favorite unimportant video game character ever. looks this cool just to die like a dumbass in every timeline. been doin the same exact shit in every dark souls game. a decade long career of no feats and various notable failures. i’ve wanted a tattoo of him since i was 13

Tamers felt noticeably different but still had its own strengths it played into (particularly the atmosphere and mystery), Frontier had a lovely digital world but a weirdly bland character lineup and disregard for most of them aside from the main duo, feeling like diet Adventure

This amount of love for the cast is something you rarely see from a genre of anime that usually plays it simple and safe with character archetypes, especially with regard to not being afraid of letting bad things happen to them in a way that contributes to growth

The fact that the real world arc had so much going on - EIGHT kids, each with a Digimon partner as well as parents and/or siblings, all going around repelling the Vamdemon invasion while dealing with personal drama - and it ended up the best part of the show is an incredible feat

I think the reason the original Digimon Adventure stays a classic to this day is the sheer amount of 'heart' present in the writing, you could really feel the production team cared for every single one of these characters, their Digimon and families
