The Oyo State Government has paid over N37 billion in gratuities and death benefits to retired primary school teachers and local government staff since Governor Seyi Makinde assumed office in 2019. The Chairman of the Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, announced this during the disbursement of N3 billion in gratuities and death benefits to retired primary school teachers and local government staff on 7 April 2026. The payment exercise has been decentralised across geopolitical zones to reduce the burden of travel on retirees.

So the guy that was offered this HCA role yesterday 😆He’s engaged, already proposed and everything, but not officially married yet. During his briefing, he was told that since he wasn’t married, the sponsorship would only cover him. This man didn’t just accept it quietly. He stood his ground and kept pushing for his partner to be considered too. He even showed us his proposal video, clear as day that this wasn’t just talk, he’s fully committed 🫡 What struck me was that, even though she isn’t his wife yet, he was already thinking ahead, trying to make sure she’s secure and included from the start so there are no issues later. That level of intention and responsibility? It says a lot. After he left, we discussed his case behind the scenes, and the HR handling his recruitment was genuinely impressed. Instead of putting him on a COS that wouldn’t support his partner later, she went the extra mile to secure one that gives him the option to add her in the future. Fast forward to this morning, his request was approved. He’s now been told he can include his partner later. Honestly, moments like this just remind me: men are good people. We may not always get it right, and yes, we can be a lot sometimes, but deep down, a lot of men are trying, really trying to love right, to provide, and to stand up for the people they care about.

There’s something special about seeing someone’s hard work finally pay off. That quiet smile said everything, relief, gratitude, and hope for the future. Happy for this Naija babe and guy wey just land 5yrs CoS for my trust😅 She almost started laughing loudly 😅 I think the new salary band is helping.

@dammiedammie35 Very unprofessional behavior and there’s no difference in approach between them and street hoodlums. How can a whole policer officer say “you want make dem loose guard you”. Absolute gutter behavior. Just take a look at their desperate and hungry faces.

I really hope this video goes viral and the Nigeria Police Force sees this and does something about it. This happened in Abulado, Lagos. Me and my guy @ehispascal were on a bike when four officers stopped us. We came down peacefully, no issues at all. One officer was talking to me, another to my guy. Everything was calm. They were asking questions and we answered calmly because we had nothing to hide. They asked me to open my phone, and I didn’t hesitate because I didn’t want any problem. Suddenly, out of nowhere, one man came from behind and slapped me. Even the officer checking my phone was shocked and asked what just happened. At that moment, I didn’t even know he was a police officer because he wasn’t in uniform. Out of anger, I reacted and slapped him back and even tried to confront him. That’s when the others held me and told me he was an officer. That’s when I realized everything was already planned. Next thing, all of them started beating us. It was bad. My guy’s face even got swollen. They then threatened to take us to the station. I told them no problem, let’s go, but the officer who slapped me must come along too. I told them when we get to the station, they would know who my father is. They kept asking for his name, but I refused and said they would find out at the station. That’s when they got scared. Instead of taking us to the station, they drove us to a bridge, dropped us there, and told us to go.

This guy was the most dangerous out of all of them. He pointed a gun at me and kept threatening me like my life meant nothing. He’s the same one that hit me with the gun, shocked my body, beat me, and even slapped me from behind when I didn’t see it coming. Out of everyone there, he was the most aggressive. The most dangerous. He needs to be stopped!!! He is evil!!! @PoliceNG @PoliceNG_CRU
