@northstarmtn What the hell, guys- we finally get some decent snow and you aren’t going to open anything good?? Is this what we’ll get all weekend?? I thought maybe we’d see limited opens once we have 4 or 5 new feet, but super disappointed to see such limited lifts open already as of today!

6:01 AM |#MtnUpdate: We received 17" of new snow! Today we will see snow with a high near 29 and a southwest wind around 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Lifts and terrain will be limited due to high winds and snowfall. Groomer's choice is Lumberjack! Have a good day!

@kmele More interestingly, is there such a thing? I have been racking my mind trying to think of something that can’t, at least in principle, be owned by some entity. I can’t think of anything, but I guess it comes down to what is meant by “owned”.

Is there no english word for **something that cannot be owned by anyone**? The best approximation I've found is "intangible," — but that doesn’t quite nail it.

Over the course of the first 4 days I made it 213 miles. The 5th day I slowed down to about 20 miles. As hard as I tried to stay on top of it the lack of calories and hyrdation caught up to me and I had to bail. Recovery is gonna be pretty slow from this one I have a feeling.

I am aiming to start on the 23rd or 24th of July and will be covering as many miles as my body will allow per day. It has been a massive effort putting this project together and training for it and I can’t wait to get started!

Hey all! Posting today to announce that I will be starting a self supported attempt at the FKT (fastest known time) for the Appalachian Trail. If you are keen to follow along this will be the best place to find updates!

Jim Walmsley is first to No Hands Bridge (mile 96.8) in 13:38 elapsed. Very quick through aid station removing his shirt whilst running.
