Death of the author is all well and good but it’s concerning that people have apparently decided that authorial intent doesn’t matter At All. You can and should have your own interpretations but it is vital to literacy to understand and engage with the author’s intent in a story.

the changes are whatever but the dialogue fr bothered me. it’s like they couldn’t decide if they wanted this to have modern language or to have something closer to the source and it resulted in this awkward middle ground

the odyssey has been a fun reminder that tumblr has perhaps the heighest concentration of greek mythology nerds on the internet because everyone on there seemingly wants nolan's head on a platter for the changes he made. totally different vibe versus filmtwt.
