i spent the last few months and didn’t get any hard results that i was happy with, generally too much overfitting and failed forward tests, meanwhile i have my pine trend strategy from over a year ago that still does well, so was just curious if i was doing something fundamentally wrong but might just be significantly harder to get right

chatgpt is supposedly better according to benchmarks but I have experienced better results first hand with using claude. claude seems to understand strategy concepts better when I explain it than chat FWIW
also with claude you can connect it to tradingview with an MCP and backtest there
