Chelsea have not yet formally spoken to any candidates to replace Liam Rosenior. However, Andoni Iraola is expected to be one of the leading names approached. Julian Nagelsmann formed part of the process that saw Mauricio Pochettino appointed. At the time, Chelsea sources said he wasn't viewed as a fit. Nagelsman side indicated he wasn't sold on the model as well. Luis Enrique is set to extend at PSG and has interviewed with Clearlake-Boehly in the past. No expectation he is a candidate or available. PSG confident a new deal is agreed by summer. Eddie Howe, Francesco Fariola, Filipe Luís and Edin Terzic (also a candidate for Athletic Club) all have admirers within the club and have come up in discussion for previous vacancies. Cesc Fabregas is focused on trying to qualify Como for Europe but has long-term ambitions to manage in England. Marco Silva is yet to extend at Fulham and Oliver Glasner is a free agent. Neither have formed part of previous Chelsea manager searches. Talks with potential options will now take place as Chelsea put together a shortlist.🔵 🤝 @alex_crook

🚨 More on Liam Rosenior's sacking. Chelsea felt it was their only course of action to try and qualify for Europe and win the FA Cup. Sources say several senior players had lost faith in the Chelsea head coach. A thorough process to find a replacement is expected with Chelsea aware several qualified coaches are available this summer. The focus is now on stability and giving the players the best possible environment to finish the season strongly. Players and staff were informed before the announcement was made. Decision was taken by the club's leadership team. Sources say there is acknowledgement some wrong decisions have been made, not just in appointing Rosenior, but across the season, with learnings now being taken ahead of hiring a new head coach.🔵

🚨 BREAKING: Liam Rosenior has been sacked as Chelsea head coach following five-straight Premier League losses without scoring. Sporting leadership met following the defeat to Brighton and it was determined an immediate change is necessary to try and salvage the season and with an FA Cup semi-final against Leeds next. Chelsea say "Liam has always conducted himself with the highest integrity and professionalism following his appointment mid-way through the season. This has not been a decision." Players already informed. Calum McFarlane will take charge of the team as Interim Head Coach until the end of the season. Chelsea respect Rosenior, but felt results and performances in recent weeks have not met the standards they expect, particularly given there is still Europe and silverware to play for this season. Chelsea had hoped to judge Rosenior in years not weeks, but their hand was forced. Club not yet in active discussions with any candidates at this time.

Last season, I was hearing things like "Fofana is our most important player." Bro is good but we overrate him. His defending is too erratic for me. He defends more with his energy than his head. He wants to be busy and forgets basic things. In the box, he's awful. Like he loses markers for fun. Colwill really brought out his best. Chalobah is bring out his worst. Both of them don't look a good match together. None of them is an organiser.

Poch didn’t just lose, we were embarrassed. We were labelled £1 billion bottle jobs after losing in extra time to a Liverpool side where half of the XI on the pitch before the final whistle were kids. Meanwhile, Maresca won TWO trophies. One of them came against the champions of Europe 😂
