Silver Bullet (1985) A unique 80s horror entry that straddles the line between a "kids-on-an-adventure" movie and a gruesome supernatural slasher. The film is based on King's 1983 novella, "Cycle of the Werewolf." King wrote the screenplay himself, keeping the small-town Maine atmosphere but condensing the book's year-long timeline. Released on October 11, 1985, the film was a modest financial success but not a blockbuster. Initially panned or met with indifference, Roger Ebert famously gave it 3 out of 4 stars, interpreting it as a parody of King's tropes, though most critics found it tonally clashing or "unintentionally funny." While it didn't "howl" at the box office, Silver Bullet became a staple of 1980s and 90s cable television and VHS rentals. The film gained significant traction as a cult classic following the rise of Corey Haim as a teen idol. Fans often pair it with The Lost Boys as his essential 80s horror work. It is now celebrated for its "sincere" horror, the chemistry between Haim and Busey. The movie is often cited as the "second favorite" werewolf film of the 80s, usually trailing only An American Werewolf in London.

What comedy movie is a 10/10?

“We Have Such Sights To Show You” No wonder people call this the best horror franchise. To be fair I only see the first one so far, but the fact that I love this so much gives me so much hope for the rest. Especially when some other 80s horror first film to me was so boring, Hellraiser (1987) is entirely different. Disgusting as you want it. Gross as you want it. Creepy as you want it. Finally, a film from the 80s that still live to this day, so much so my grandmother sat down and watched this with me lfmaoaoa

Young Frankenstein (1974) looks and feels like a classic Universal monster movie right until Gene Wilder starts spiraling into complete lunacy. Mel Brooks recreating the old horror aesthetic so perfectly is exactly what makes every joke hit even harder.
