I never thought I’d have to write something like this… Today I lost $101 USDT — probably my last hope in crypto right now. Not because I got rugged. Not because I clicked a fake link. But because my phone’s clipboard was hijacked. I copied my own wallet address correctly. But after pasting and verifying with fingerprint, the address silently changed into a completely different one. At first I thought it was my mistake. Then I tested it again with another address… and it changed to the SAME attacker wallet again. That’s when I realized something was seriously wrong. The transaction was already confirmed on-chain: Tx Hash: 0xa6d07c398228550bdc33ed346e38992edc5b02750c857914846eac29d7538d7b I tracked the wallet and watched the funds get moved out almost instantly. After that, strangely, my copy-paste started working normally again. This was most likely a clipboard hijacker malware on my phone — something silently replacing crypto addresses during copy/paste. Please learn from my mistake: • Always double-check the first & last characters of every wallet address • Never trust copy-paste blindly • Avoid random APKs and suspicious apps • Be careful with accessibility permissions on Android • If something feels wrong, STOP before confirming the transaction Losing money hurts. But realizing how easily it happened hurts even more. That money was supposed to pay for my academic tuition fees. Now I honestly don’t even know what to do next… I’m posting this so maybe someone else can avoid the same pain.💔
