Today the Fort Worth News Guild members participated in a sick out to bring attention to McClatchy Media and pressure them to pay our newsroom fair wages and accept proposals on successorship and AI.

Today, @mcclatchy employees were supposed to get paid.
But, bc of an apparent logistic issue, we didn’t. The company says it’ll be fixed by tomorrow, but for today the @FortWorthGuild is taking a lunch break together.
Our work has value, and we all deserve to be paid on time.
