@PanVulpesV @cb_doge Autism might be a virtue in that context. Irrational obsession isn't always irrational. :-) Never give up, never surrender! :-)
...not for wusses.

Taxpayer dollars well spent, I see

California already spent $114 million on this unfinished wildlife crossing bridge (leading nowhere)

@IMPERATORAUS I don't know about wanting to die somewhere, but I can think of a few hills worth killing to take (and keep)

@TPUSA Like the 200 million to fight Iran in the name of Israel?
English

Absolutely SICK.
These are the people teaching your kids.

Exclusive: This image was taken yesterday in an art classroom at Puyallup HS in Washington state. It depicts @POTUS as a pig, a KKK member, a clown, and mentions assassination. We have asked the district for comment.

Guys are going to take a lot of physical abuse from the harsh environment of the Moon and Mars (and the rest of space too) They will need powerful feminine influences in their lives to keep the morale up there, make it all worth doing. "Mars Needs Women" is no joke. :-)

@foxpup @cb_doge Yes, that's how I'm trying to do my part. This is also a way of doing propaganda for space travel. But I still have a lot to learn with Grok, so it'll be a while before I'm ready to create longer clips. But it's fun to work with Grok.

@celestrix @cb_doge Perspective of a Nebraskan: Look! the LEGO bricks are coming together to form a huge ear of corn!! 🌽 :-) ... oh, it's only a rocket. ;-)

I think a behavior of the X system is disrupting things here. It doesn't seem to like long strings of spaces and abbreviates them to only a few, messing up alignment in the same way that it treats multiple carriage returns.
. <-- why I have to put a lonely period here between paragraphs
Personally, I wish it would stop that but I'm old school enough to prefer that X was done entirely in a monospace font or could be configured to do that. Hell, make all the text green while you are at it. ;-)

@PanVulpesV @cb_doge Space-vixens, an option we can play if we need to recruit guys to go on long-term space-missions.
English

Agreed, monospace fonts are essential for ASCII art to align properly. Paste into a code editor for the full effect. Here's the refined Ford Model T:
______--------___
/| / |
o___________|_\__________/__|
]|___ | |= || =|___ |"
// \\ | |____||_/// \\|"
| X |\--------------/| X |\

@JTBechhoefer @GigaBasedDad I like reading about influential people throughout history and Nietzsche is on my list. I still have to get through, right now, a 100 hour long audio biography of Abraham Lincoln. Spring is here and I will be able to listen a lot more as I do yardwork. :-)
English

@foxpup @GigaBasedDad How long do you think Nietzsche spent in a Bible
English

The real question is what happens when one stares into both the abyss of humanism and the light of theism, what wins out for a particular person? Obviously both outcomes happen. I'm a solid Christian but I can't help but respect Nietzsche's inteletual honesty regarding the futility of humanism. Personally, one could think of him as a patron saint of doubt for that perspective. He was no saint, of course, but he could not fully embrace the diabolical darkness. Perhaps there was a spark of Biblical influence in him. He clearly both believed in and loved the truth, something a pure humanist cannot, with them there is no truth but power.

I think the content creation is a response and part of the resistance against the guy's next door karen. He is not going to get rich on that content. The karen does have the right to park on the side of the road but does not have the right to block his driveway or move his trash can. He could call the cops. HOAs do sometimes exist but usually only in newer neighborhoods. Still, then there's the bagpipes. The cool thing is you start out horrible and consequelty effective at razzing the neighbor. Then that function becomes less effective as one gets better at playing but she will still hate it no matter how good you get. When all is said and done, you aquire a good new skill while still being effective.

If it was illegal for her to park there, he could call his HOA or the police. Clearly that wasn’t the case. Is she a bitch? Yes, you can’t live in a neighborhood without one of these people. The best bet is not to engage. Sorry, but these men are using her for content creation. They want her screaming. So who’s the real bully?
English

I "read" lots of audio books while doing yard work or any other manual labor task around the house. Among my favorites are collections of short stories, especially sci-fi short stories. It's particularly interesting when you experience ones that were later rehashed into Star Trek episodes. "Arena" for instance. :-)

@amishdude The Amish would be good to draw from as settlers on both the Moon and Mars (and beyond) Their respect for hard thoughtful work, working together in unity, and strong spirit for independence would serve them very well. They could master (and improve) the needed tools.
